Embodied Perspectives: The Body Remembers Before We Do The main symposium on Saturday, October 24, was hosted at the Edlis Neeson Theater at the MCA Chicago. Brendan Fernandes, a Chicago-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice brings together dance and visual art, opened the day with “Embodied Perspectives: The Body Remembers Before We Do,” a participatory keynote in which he spoke, moved, and gathered the audience to reframe institutions as living, breathing spaces built on dignity, care, and belonging.
